Back from vacation, still raking

Hi all, I am back from vacation. Amazingly our stocks did well while I was gone. I am always prepared to jump in and sell some stocks while on vacation but everything was quiet and our stocks have been going up great, following the overall market.

I modified the stock screener to output to a secret website so that it is easier for me to use. Very nice, no more running it manually. The screener now runs automatically 15 minutes before the close of the market and posts all of it's results to a website. I check it, make some buys, sell some losers and off we go.

In the portfolio, CAGC, BJRI, IMAX, IPXL, MYL, and WPZ are all doing absolutely fantastic.

Good luck all.

Banner day! (BJRI, CAGC, IMAX, MSN, NVMI)

Not much to do today except bask in the warm rays of outsized gains.

BJRI, CAGC, IMAX, MSN and NVMI all had great days today.

Way to go guys, and good luck!

Strong breakouts

Overall the positions are doing quite well. CAGC is getting away from me. I would have liked to buy a lot more but I didn't consider it's past breakout a valid pivot. Now I am up 98%.

Others doing well:
BJRI
IPXL
PNRA

As always, follow the rules. I don't have more than two units in any of my stocks. CAGC is the most likely that I will buy another unit in, simply considering the massive buffer that we have now.

Good luck.

Selling Spree! (IVAN, TKTM, VIT, HRBN, HMIN)

This minor market weakness has brought a few of my holdings to their knees. The worst of them I have sold:

- IVAN
- TKTM
- VIT
- HRBN
- HMIN

All of these stocks sold down to an 8% loss or slightly higher, which means they are weeds. This is a good time to be reducing my market exposure, going into earnings season. A number of my all-star stocks are also pulling back, but from monster gains which gives me less reason for concern.

Good luck.

BIOF breaking out, bought one more lot

BIOF broke out today, trading above it's past pivot point. I now own two lots in BIOF.

All-in-all, my stocks are doing wonderfully in January. You can now follow more portofolio in the block on the right of the page.

TKTM is the only stock that I am watching closely to sell, it is currently down %5 from my purchase point.

Good luck.

CAGC, HMIN rip higher

CAGC, which I have two lots in, is ripping higher leading my portfolio higher. HMIN, a recent 1 lot purchase, is also doing well.

The much hyped 'jobs number' came out today, and the market is responding pretty well. Other than this, pretty quiet for today. Our portfolio is doing well today.

You might notice that I sold ASIA and UQM yesterday at the close. I can't help but check out my stocks after I sold them and I see that ASIA is up today. You can't let these things distract you. CAAS is another stock that I recently let go, only for it to rip higher over the following week. Our first goal is to protect our capital, and our second goal is to grow our capital. If your stocks are breaking down and you have a loss, then let it go. If it turns around and goes up, then pat yourself on the back because that means your scanner is finding stocks that the market loves.

Good luck.

Significant pullback today

I am well under-performing the market today, which is not too surprising given the slow day. You will often find that high flying breakout stocks will pull back when the market is quiet. ASIA and UQM are close to 8% losses, so I might cut them today at the close. We will see how they close. The rest are just pulling back from their massive gains, which is OK.

Other than that, not much going on. I am letting my winners bloom. December was great for us, and January has started off very well also.

Good luck.

Scanner explosion

I got 24 returns from the scanner today, that has to be an all-time high. This means there are many stocks breaking out on high volume. Only a few of them passed my fundamental scanner -- most of which I bought.

Good luck!

Blow-out morning

What started as a quiet morning has evolved into a blow-out. Here is a list of my top gainers, just to list a few.

- BIOF, +11%
- CAGC, +7.6%
- IVAN, +5.35%
- TSL, +3.3%

My portfolio, 67% invested long, has been easily outperforming the SP500 for weeks.

My biggest losers today are ASIA and NTRI. NTRI is pulling back from massive gains, like I discussed in my previous post. ASIA has underperformed, I might end up selling it in the next few days. I only have one purchase into ASIA and am down 3.7%.

Good luck.
